Falfa is a ranchhand at Hyrule Ranch in Echoes of Wisdom.
Echoes of Wisdom
Falfa lives and works at Hyrule Ranch, a ranch run by her grandfather and grandmother. She also lives with her younger brother. Falfa wears a distinct carrot-style pin in her hair.
When Zelda first arrives at Hyrule Ranch, Falfa and the rest of her family are worried as one of their horses went missing.[1] After speaking with her grandpa, this will begin the Runaway Horse quest. After the horse is returned to the ranch, Zelda can speak with Falfa, who is very thankful that Zelda was able to rescue her.[2] She will subsequently welcome Zelda to Hyrule Ranch. She mentions that the ranch sells Fresh Milk and that Zelda should speak to her grandmother inside if she's interested.[3]
In the Impa's Gift quest, as Zelda enquires to Falfa about her new horse, her brother runs up to tell her the horse has been caught in a rift at the Carrot Patch. Checking at the carrot patch, she can only apologise to Zelda. After Zelda and Tri enter the Stilled Carrot Patch and mend the rift, Falfa checks the horse over and finds her uninjured. With that, she suggests taking part in Hyrule Ranch's Flag Races to the mare's new owner and leaves them be.
Falfa herself runs the flag races - time trials where the rider must touch every flag on a course between the start and finish lines - including the laying out of the courses with flags, white lines, Wooden Boxes & Decorative Shrubs, and gives out the rewards to those who beat the challenge times. She does not allow Zelda to participate on a Rental Horse, only her own.
